Pendragon SyncServer is the
synchronization technology that allows Palm OS and Pocket PC handhelds to
synchronize forms and data securely over a TCP/IP connection (LAN or
Internet).
Pendragon Forms 5.0 includes
a single concurrent connection version of Pendragon SyncServer. This means
that only one handheld user can synchronize to the Forms database at a
time. If you have up to 10 Pendragon Forms licenses, and handheld
users do not need to synchronize all at the same time, the single
concurrent connection version of SyncServer should be adequate for your
needs.
If you install Pendragon
Forms 5.0 on a network, and you have more than 10 Forms licenses, you may
want to allow more than one user to synchronize to the Forms database
simultaneously. The larger the number of Forms licenses that you
have, the more likely it may be that two users happen to synchronize at
the same time.
You can purchase a
Pendragon SyncServer license if you want to allow more than one concurrent
connection to the Pendragon Forms database. The number of concurrent
connections that you want determines the SyncServer license that you
should purchase.
